I hold a BA (Hons) in English Literature and am a qualified teacher certified by the Institute of Education. I have a Masters in Creative Writing, and I am currently completing an NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship).

My dedication to education extends beyond the classroom – I also contribute as an exam marker for AQA, which provides me with invaluable insights into assessment and exam expectations. My track record speaks for itself, as my students consistently attain remarkable results in their exams, a testament to the effectiveness of our collaborative efforts.

Beyond academic achievements, my true passion lies in nurturing students' literacy levels and igniting a fervour for Literature and Language skills. I also support with writing UCAS personal statements, tutor functional skills and study skills. I firmly believe that these skills not only empower students academically but also enrich their lives as critical thinkers and eloquent communicators.

My educational journey began in the year 2000 when I began my teaching career as a passionate classroom practitioner. From the outset, my focus has been on elevating students' achievements, and I've had the privilege of witnessing remarkable results under my guidance.

My dedication led me to specialise in fostering academic excellence. During this time, I honed my skills in igniting success within my students, guiding them to achieve outstanding results.

In my current role as Assistant Headteacher, I am responsible for professional training and development of teachers across four schools, keeping me at the cutting edge of educational practice.

My teaching journey has been guided by an unwavering commitment to student success, a fervour for lifelong learning, and an empathetic approach to addressing individual needs.
